Vote for Marion

(click for full-sized pic)

IMDB is holding an Oscar poll, where IMDB members can vote for their own Oscar winners.

Currently Marion is in fourth by quite a bit, trailing behind Ellen Page, Julie Christie, and Cate Blanchett.

If you're a member, you can vote here.

Haha! What a joke...I remember a couple of years ago when Harry Potter won everything, including Best Leading and Supporting Actress for Emma Watson XD

Dream on, IMDB members! This is ludicrous...

These friggin fanboys have never known the touch of a woman, so how can they possibly be expected to judge the performance of one?

Juno is the most popular film of the bunch and Ellen Page is the hippest nominee. She's certainly the new It Girl on the scene. The results are hardly surprising.

I just didn't expect Cotillard to trail by THAT much. Wow.

To be honnest I found Juno so overrated , am I the only one?!!! I feel the world as gone crazy with that film,it's just a cute film with funny one liners.
I visited Roger Ebert website and he predicted Julie Christy or Hellene Page as the winner of the oscar and worsse he called Marion...the Dark horsse!!!!
I tell you she's better off in Europe , when you think of the ovation she received by the british public at the BAFTA and you compare it to here were they just keep neglecting her,it makes me mad,her performance deserve better then that.
I'm glad there are people out there who goes by talent and not hype.

Not that well off in England in terms of recognition by the public I dare say. I watched the Orange.co.uk Live Stream of the Red Carpet - this is the official sponsor of the event - and not once, not once did they mention La Vie en Rose or Marion Cotillard. The only time they showed like 5 seconds of footage of her was when she was standing next to Keira. They mentioned a number of films that received a few nominations as possible winners - but guess which film took home the most awards? And who won for Leading Actress?! Serves them right. Oh, and the stream went on for 1h41minutes....

But seeing how the hype surrounding Juno and Ellen Page - or any other previous IT-girl - also inevitably brings about negative comments of people who think them undeserving of that much attention I'd rather see Marion forgotten by 'popular' media but recognized by the industry.

Juno is just a teenagers kind of movie from the dialogues to the way her father took it that his daughter was pregnanted at 16. "Oh, ok you got pregnant and found people to adopt it, ok then it
better on drug." So unrealistic, I watch it because of the hype and not impressed.
