Screencaps of Marion's VH1 red carpet interview

EDIT: Marion lost to Julie Christie. :( Here's hoping Marion will pull a Brody-esque upset at the Oscars, eh?

I just snapped some screencaps of Marion's BFCA red carpet interview. Despite the fact that the idiot called her Emily Deschanel and referred to Edith Piaf as Edith "Pilaf", Marion remained graceful:

Don't tell me that gorgeous young lady is not a movie star.

She is an all-in-one Catherine Deneuve, Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau.

And if she is not oscarised i will eat my new stetson hat, i just bought for me as my personnal christmas present.

No way that Julie Christie or Ellen Page can beat her !!!!!

The interviewer was such an idiot, but she barely batted an eyelid, so good for her. On a more shallow note, she looks lovely (as always). I was thinking earlier of her in terms of someone like 'La Binoche', and obviously for Marion it would be brilliant to have such a career as that practical icon.

Bringing in the technology, k. Awesome!!! And that red carpet interview was hilarious -- should be saved for posterity!

I feel a bit strange about Marion's odds tonight -- it seems like all the Best Actress contenders are there (except for Christie, I think).

i doubt Marion can win this one.

We will have to wait until the GG and the SAG in order to have a better idea.

Sadly, I agree. It will be a great surprise if she does, though!

Yes, this one is for the american audience only.

Malaysia Times says Julie Christie won.

Well being realistic the GG is one she would most likely win; you never know though. In any case the awards are just like icing on the cake, they change nothing about the superb performance.

That's interesting, anonymous. I totally believe it too. Well, it just makes me less edgy about a possible win tonight :) Thanks.

Do you mind sharing who else won, anonymous?

It hasn't been announced yet who won. Amy Adams won best supporting though.

Dorothy Porker said...

It's live. That was my concern.

Amy Ryan, poppy :) I do that all the time.

Oh yeah, opps, yep, me bad.

DDL and July Christie won.

Left out in the dark : Sweeney, Into the Wild, Atonement.....

No Contry is best movie

That's depressing :(

Hold on a second !!!

Malaysia News says Casey Affleck won the supporting actor's award.

And now Awards Daily says it is Javier Bardem !

Confusing.

Let us wait.

Why this stupid guy has made this silly interview with Marion ?

May be she is in.

Dorothy Porker said...

The link I saw said Javier Bardem: http://malaysia.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080108/

But I sure hope they ARE wrong :)

Javier won, no mistake.

Very confusing. When a first went to look at Maysia News, 15 minutes ago i saw Casey Affleck winning the supporting award !

And now they show Javier Bardem as the winner.

May be i need a new pair of spectacles.

Otherwise all other predictions were correct.

No country is winning best movie and best director.

An DDL and Julie Christie are still best actors.

I suppose Julie Christie's momentum just keeps growing...will Marion be able to stop her? Stay Tuned!

PS: That movie clip for her performance SUCKED. Who picks these things?

Yes Julie is on the edge now. Very difficult to stop this.

I think Marion will have a GG and that is all for this year.

Do not forget she is a newcomer and Julie is an old female crocodile with a HUUUUUUUGE résumé.

Marion has to EAT the screen against Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz now, if "Nine" goes on.

And she will win an oscar in 2009.

Depending on when this strike ends, and if/when Nine goes ahead it won't be eligible for the awards until 2010, possible even 2011 I am hearing that there is a fear that the strike will carry on until next year. God 2010 sounds so far away, but it really isn't.

Yes you are right : 2010.

i think Marion still has a chance if she wins at the SAG and split with Christie at the GG.

Then she will even become the front runner.
