The news of his death totally floored me. I wasn't a fan or anything, but he seemed like a young, happy, healthy actor who adored his daughter and loved what he did.

Very sad.

I was crushed. As if Brokeback Mountain wasn't already steeped in enough pain, disappointment and mystery. Who could have known? Surreal.

Same here. I wasn't a huge fan, but I admired him enormously. I thought he should have won the Oscar for his portrayal of Ennis del Mar.

The news hit me hard yesterday (which was a strange way to end what had been a pretty ecstatic morning and early afternoon) and I'm still thinking about it. Not sure why other than as a cinephile mourning a great talent that has been lost.

I'd never have thought I could be as affected as I still am by the news of the death of an actor. Ever since 10 Things I Hate About You I've liked Heath as an actor - not sure if it was also something to do with his gorgeous looks lol - and have seen a lot of his projects. He seemed really genuine and I consider him a fantastic actor. All day today I kept thinking of the news. My thoughts go out to his family and esp. his daughter. May the media not make too much a circus of this - not least out of respect for her.

I found out by watching the sweet and happy Marion video on CBS....

My girlfreind told me on the phone and I kept asking her to repeat the name, I was thinking not him!,he didnt seem to be the type to die in such a tragic way.
I wasnt a huge fan either but I must say that he was extremely talented and he just didnt derserve to go out this way.
